Tears aren’t always a bad thing.
Crying while being fucked most likely won’t mean that I want you to stop, and it won’t mean that something is wrong. More often than not, it’s simply how my brain copes with intense sensations. It’s not a reason to worry, not unless I say so, but it’s okay to check.
Showing concern mid-scene will never ruin it. If you took a break from the slapping, fucking, and choking to wipe away some tears and make sure I’m okay, it won’t kill the excitement. Why should it? I may appreciate cruelty, but I appreciate affection even more. I appreciate the moments in which the hard, dominant exterior gives way to something softer, gentler. In fact, I don’t just appreciate those moments, I need them. How else would you be able to put me together after you’ve ripped me apart?
